Day-2 – Chopta 

The next day you can go to Chopta to visit Bugyal (the grassland is called Bugyal in Uttarakhand) and there are some adventure activities as well, which you can enjoy. After visiting all these things, you can stay back in your room. In the evening of the same day, you can also visit the local market of Chopta.

Day-3 – Tungnath and Chandratal Trek 

Tungnath Temple is just 3.5 km from Chopta. It is located on a distant mountain, where one has to trek on foot. The distance of Chandratal trek from Tungnath temple is only 1-1.5 kilometers and to go to Chandratal trek also you have to trek from Tungnath temple. That is, to go from Chopta to Tungnath temple and Chandratal trek, you will have to complete 4.5-5 km of climb and back you will have to come down 4.5-5 km to reach Chopta from Chandratal trek. That is, after visiting the Tungnath temple before Chopta and from there to the Chandratal trek, you will have to complete a total of 9-10 kilometers to come back to Chopta.

 

Note:-

1. No food and drink facilities are provided around Tungnath Temple and Chandratal Trek, so after visiting both these places you will have to come back to Chopta in any condition.

After visiting Tungnath Temple and Chandratal Trek, plan to stay in a tent for the night on that day. By staying in a tent amidst the sheds of Chopta, you can get the experience of enjoying the beauty of Chopta from a different perspective. Tent rent is ₹ 1000-1200, in which breakfast, lunch, and dinner facilities are also provided, you will not have to pay for it separately.

 

Day-4 – Chopta to Haridwar 

The next day morning you catch a bus from Chopta to come back to Haridwar and after coming to Haridwar you can leave for your city. So let us now know how much will it cost to go from Haridwar to Chopta and come back to Haridwar.

 

Day – 1 – Haridwar – Chopta 

Haridwar – Chopta (Bus) – ₹ 800

Both sides – ₹ 800 +800 = ₹ 1600

Breakfast ( ₹ 100 ) + Lunch ( ₹ 150 ) = ₹ 250

Chopta  (Hotel – Food + Accommodation) – ₹ 1400

 

Day-2 – Chopta 

Breakfast (₹ 150 ) + Lunch ( ₹ 200 ) = ₹ 350

Chopta (Hotel – Food + Accommodation) – ₹ 1400

 

If you do any adventure activity, then you will have to keep separate money for it, because I have not included the money spent on any adventure activity in this budget. You can keep aside money to enjoy any adventure activity in Chopta (Mini Switzerland).

 

Day-3 – Tungnath Temple and Chandratal Trek

Tent + Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner = ₹ 1600

For trekking (trekking stick + some food and drink biscuits and chocolates etc. + other things) – ₹ 300

 

Day-4 – Chopta – Haridwar

Breakfast ( ₹ 100 ) + Lunch ( ₹ 150 ) + Dinner ( ₹ 150 ) = ₹ 400

So let us now know how much it will cost to go from Haridwar to Chopta and come back to Haridwar.

₹ 1600 + ₹ 250 + ₹ 1400 + ₹ 350 + ₹ 1400 + ₹ 1600 + ₹ 300 + ₹ 400 = ₹ 7300

 

So, friends, you can also plan to go back to Haridwar by going to Chopta, Tungnath Temple, and Chandratal trek from Haridwar in this way and complete this journey in around ₹ 7500. If you do any adventure activity in Chopta, then keep ₹ 1500-2000 separately with you. If you do not visit Tungnath temple and Chandratal trek from Haridwar, but only for Chopta, then you can complete this trip for ₹ 5000 to 5500, because if you do not go to Tungnath temple and Chandratal trek, then you can go to your tent.
